BANGKOK, 19 March 2026 - A Thai agricultural worker was killed in Israel late Wednesday following combat operations, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported on Thursday.
Panil Pachimsawat, Acting Director-General of the Department of Information, confirmed the death during a daily briefing by the Center for Administration and Monitoring of the Situation in the Middle East.
The Royal Thai Embassy in Tel Aviv has notified the victim's family and is coordinating with Israeli authorities and the Ministry of Labour to repatriate the body. Officials pledged to ensure the family receives full benefits and compensation.
Evacuation efforts continue across the region, with two Thais arriving from Iran this morning and four others scheduled to cross the Iranian border on March 23. To date, 1,173 Thai nationals have been assisted in departing high-risk areas.
The ministry urged those seeking evacuation to contact the embassy in Tel Aviv immediately and advised all citizens to strictly follow official safety guidelines.
